CTR (Click-Through Rate)
Learn about ctr (click-through rate) in marketing
What is CTR (Click-Through Rate)?
CTR (Click-Through Rate) is the percentage of impressions that resulted in a click. It’s calculated as (Clicks ÷ Impressions) × 100. CTR measures how effectively your search snippet (title and meta description) attracts clicks. Average CTR varies by position: ~30% for position 1, ~15% for position 2, etc. A high-ranking page with low CTR may benefit from rewriting its title or description to better match user intent or include power words (e.g., '2026', 'free', 'step-by-step'). CTR is not a direct ranking factor but reflects user satisfaction.
