Core Web Vitals
Learn about core web vitals in marketing
What is Core Web Vitals?
Core Web Vitals are Google's user-focused performance metrics for real-world page experience: Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) for loading, Interaction to Next Paint (INP) for responsiveness, and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) for visual stability. Current benchmark targets are LCP <= 2.5 seconds, INP <= 200 milliseconds, and CLS <= 0.1 for a good experience. These metrics are part of Page Experience evaluation and can affect visibility when multiple pages are otherwise similar in relevance and quality. They should be monitored using field data, not only lab tests, because user devices and network conditions vary. Practical optimization includes reducing render-blocking resources, improving server response time, and stabilizing layout before user interaction.
