Viral Loop

A Viral Loop is a mechanism designed into a product that encourages every new user to invite another user, who then invites another, creating exponential growth. Classic examples include Dropbox (free storage for referrals) or Zoom (you invite others to a meeting just to use the tool). A 'Viral Coefficient' greater than 1.0 means each user brings in more than one new user on average, leading to true viral growth. It is the ultimate goal of many growth hacking strategies.
