Coverage Report

The Coverage Report in Google Search Console shows the indexing status of your site’s URLs. It categorizes pages into: Valid (indexed), Valid with warnings (indexed but with issues like soft 404s), Excluded (not indexed—e.g., blocked by robots.txt, noindex, duplicate), and Error (e.g., 404, server error). This report helps identify technical issues preventing indexing. For example, a sudden spike in 'Submitted URL not found (404)' may indicate broken links. Regular monitoring ensures new content gets indexed and errors are fixed promptly.
